Employment and training

Being in employment widens your housing options and the kind of accommodation that is available to you. There are many services that can help you find work or provide training opportunities. Visit our Employment and Training Opportunities page for more information.

Forfutures support and accommodation

Forfutures is a service commissioned by the Council to deliver homelessness support services. Forfutures provide support to people at risk of losing their home, an Outreach Team to identify and engage with people who are sleeping rough offering support and emergency and accommodation, and Advice and Information Hubs across the borough for anyone needing advice because they are at risk of homelessness.

The Council's Housing Options team work closely with Forfutures and refer customers they are dealing with who require support or supported housing.

Home Assistance Hub

Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) has been appointed by Cheshire West and Chester Council to manage its Home Assistance Hub.   The aim of the Service is to provide an integrated housing support service, by providing a single point of contact .The contract includes a number of different services:

  • General Advice, Information, casework, provision of key safes
  • Handyperson Services
  • Repairs and Improvements for home owners (Decent Homes)
  • Major adaptations: Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG)
  • Minor work adaptations
  • Occupational Therapy Specialist Equipment
  • Reactive Target Hardening Service for Domestic Abuse victims

Liverpool Mutual Homes


Housing Solutions Officers who are part of the West Cheshire Homes Team will offer advice and assistance to households threatened with homelessness and wherever possible we will aim to help people remain in their homes, if this is a suitable option.  A range of services is available to help with prevention of homelessness, including mediation with families and landlords, tenancy advice and referrals for floating support. Illegal Eviction and Harassment
